Quantity: more than 100 culms, walls thick, pole lengths 2–2.4 m (6–8 ft), diameters 3.5–6.5 cm (1.4–2.6 in).
Species: Thyrsostachys oliveri, ไผ่รวใหญ่ (phai ruak yai).
Location: 15 km (10 mi) northeast of Chiang Mai, coordinates 18.83523,99.10768; the location is on Google Maps and Google Street View (links on request). At this location, the bamboo culms can be picked up ANY day between 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., but a 1-DAY ADVANCE NOTICE is required.
