Small single-stem plants of ×Thyrsocalamus liang, commonly known as Phai Liang (BS-001-1) were recently propagated by plant division. They are offered free of charge.
This bamboo forms a dense clump with upright, slightly outward-bending culms up to 15 m high and to 4 cm in diameter. The culms are solid at their base, very strong and durable, and without low branching. This bamboo is one of the best for tall privacy screening along boundaries, but also appreciated as a solitary in the garden background.
