Quantity: 21 culms, walls thick, some culms are solid at the base, pole lengths 1.8–5.5 m (6–18 ft), diameters 3–11.5 cm (1.2–4.5 in). Species:
- Dendrocalamus asper, ไผ่ตง (phai tong), black-stem variety.
- Gigantochloa serik, ไผ่เซริก (phai serik), culms striped.
- Dendrocalamus sp., ไผ่ซางหม่น (phai sang mon), walls thick, basal culms solid.

Quantity: 43 culms, walls moderately thick to thin, pole lengths 2–6 m (6.6–19.7 ft), diameters 2.5–5.5 cm (1–2.2 in). Species:
- Schizostachyum sp., from Hainan.
- Schizostachyum brachycladum, ไผ่ทอง (phai thong), yellow-stem variety.
