Several pieces of pre-cut, strong, fresh, and dried bamboo poles are available at our location, Baan Sammi, for free. Pole lengths 2–7.5 m, diameters 3–10.5 cm (1.2–4.1 in), the poles have thick to moderately thick walls, some poles are basally solid, and some are striped. Species: Gigantochloa spp., Bambusa vulgaris. Further bamboo species will be harvested and then available in the next few weeks.
Location: 15 km (10 mi) northeast of Chiang Mai, coordinates 18.83523,99.10768, the location is on Google Maps and Google Streetview (links on request). At this location, the poles can be picked up ANY day between 8:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., but a 1-DAY ADVANCE NOTICE is required. You need to bring your own tools (saw, machete) to cut the poles into transportable or desired lengths.
